What is resin?
Resin is a natural or synthetic compound that is very viscous and become tight under special conditions. It usually is soluble in alcohol but not in water.This compound is classified in different ways depending on the chemical compositions and its utilizations. It also has many applications in art and polymer production and etc. Many consumers are dealing daily with products containing resin.
Natural resin obtained from plants. The best example is pine tree sap that has a pungent odor of terpene compound.This material is very sticky and become tight by the passage of time. Many numbers of other plants also produce resin. This material has been used by humans for thousands of years. Some plants exude a similar substance called gum which does not react with water and is softer and more flexible.
